Safety Rules

1) Batter, on deck batter & all base runners must wear protective batting helmet.
2) Any player designated as first or third base coach must wear protective batting helmet.
3) Only one player permitted in on-deck area taking practice swings.
4) All players other than on-deck batter will not be permitted outside dugout area.
5) No metal or screw in type cleats.
6) A player must avoid contact and slide if there is a close play at base.
7) Catchers must wear a protective cup, chest, helmet, mask, throat, and leg guards.
8) Any player warming up a pitcher on the mound or bullpen must wear a protective helmet & mask.
9) No player is permitted to stand directly behind the backstop while the game is hi progress.
10) Should a runner lose his helmet while running, he/she may not advance without the helmet beyond the base he was approaching. In retrieving the helmet, base path must be retraced.

MINORS:

1) All Players are encouraged to wear a heart guard.  Anyone who pitches in a game or practice game “Must” wear a heart guard while he pitches.

2) Any Pitcher may wear a face shield while he is pitching.

MAJORS:

1) All Players are encouraged to wear heart guards.  Anyone who Pitches in a Scrimmage or Game “Must” wear a heart guard.

2) Pitchers may wear protective face shields when they are pitching.

PONY:

1) All Players are encouraged to wear a heart guard.  Anyone who pitches in a scrimmage or Game “Must” wear a heart guard.

2) Pitchers may wear protective face shields when they are pitching.
